Laser Focusing Crystals

However, firing a laser through a focusing crystal puts strain on the custom crystals, and it can only be used for a limited time before being replaced. By default, a focusing crystal can only fire a laser 10 times before it needs to be replaced. Attaching a new crystal takes time and cannot be done during combat. However, the crystal can be ejected quickly during combat, which will simply make the laser fire normally. Crystals must be carried in a special case and occupy roughly the same amount of space as a missile of the same Weapon size.

Burst Fire Crystals

This reduces laser focus and removes some accuracy, creating a -1 on the d10 for any range greater than Small. However, with a Small range, this gains a +1. When used as Point Defense/Flak, the Laser takes no penalty and can explode on 9-10s.

Cost

$50k for Small, $150k for Medium, $450k for Large, $1350k for Huge weapons.

Shield Piecing Crystals

This grants a +1 for every 2 Shield Mod the target ship has. However, this doesn't stack with the Sensor bonus. This helps whenever a Sensor Scan failed.
