Players Guide Sheet
This is a helpful guide for new players of FuturePath and TTRPGs.
Below is a list of actions organized by Abilities and Skills that a Character can take in different situations.
What is an Ability? Abilities are divided up into 6 themes, and each represents the aptitude the Character has for each specific theme. This level of aptitude is based on its score. The themes are:
- Strength (Str) = Power, Muscle, Capacity
- Dexterity (Dex) = Quickness, Finesse, Subtlety
- Constitution (Con) = Vitality, Durability, Toughness
- Intelligence (Int) = Comprehension, Brilliance, Industrious
- Wisdom (Wis) = Intuition, Focus, Awareness
- Charisma (Cha) = Glamour, Dominating, Presence
If the GM asks to perform an Ability check, then roll a d20 and add the Ability Score found at the top left of your Character sheet. If the Ability is a favored ability, then also add the Character's advantage die to the total.
Most actions fit under 'Skills' however. What are Skills? Skills are actions that Characters can do in the game that require confirmation, as well as having defined outcomes. While a generic action can be loosely associated with an Ability, a Skill is a more specific action. IE: Talking nicely to an NPC (Charisma check) vs attempting to convince the NPC of something (Diplomacy check). Below are the Skills and a quick explanation of their theme.
